DCN SEE Hub, Digital Communication Network and World Learning are organizing, via Zoom, the webinar “Fake News Hunters: Making sense of online disinformation“, which will take place in the 22nd of September at 17:00 (Athens Time).
After a relatively quiet August, September brings back in full force the disinformation wave. Manifested in protests, small and spread around countries, the effects of disinformation are felt eveywhere around and are more and more political, in the dawn of a very complicated cold season with elections.
From the beginning of April, DCN has formed two teams, one in Romania and one in Greece with the purpose of monitoring and analysing the spread of disinformation and transforming them into regular reports. Now, at almost six months after we began, we take a look at how disinformation has evolved, what shapes it took in both countries and what we can expect. An honest discussion with the team members about the present and future of disinformation in Romania and Greece.
