Exploring Civic and Legislative Interventions to Curb the Spread of Fake News

The Peace Journalism Lab Department of Journalism and Mass Media of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is pleased to welcome on Wednesday, May 15, the lecturer and researcher of the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the National University of Singapore, Dr. Shangyuan Wu.

Dr. Wu specializes in teaching media writing, journalism (Digital, Data), communication management, and cultural studies.

Dr. Wu's research focuses on media and communication, with interests including journalism in the digital age, with a focus on automated, data, immersive, and online journalism. Specifically, her research projects have investigated the impact of social, political, economic, and/or technological forces on the future of the journalism industry.

The topic of her lecture will be "Exploring Civic and Legislative Interventions to Curb the Spread of Fake News." The lecture will take place in Room G1 on Wednesday, May 15, at 10:00 a.m.
